Nuclear magnetic resonance equipment zooms in on how biological molecules work—potentially leading to new treatments for conditions such as breast cancer and Alzheimer’s. In a paper published in the journal Nature, the researchers offer insight gained from using powerful nuclear magnetic resonance equipment to study calcium channels, which are linked to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases, among other conditions.
