Novo Nordisk A/S Downplays Report Tying Drug To Deaths

Denmark's Novo Nordisk said on Wednesday more data is needed on its NovoSeven drug after researchers linked the anti-bleeding medicine to deaths and strokes, which sent its share down. A report in the Journal of the American Medical Association published on Wednesday said NovoSeven has been linked to 67 deaths since it was approved in 1999 as a hemophilia treatment.
