Nova Biomedical Taps Diabetes Market

Waltham-based Nova Biomedical is quietly becoming a major force in the local medical device industry, cracking $200 million in revenue this fiscal year and approaching 1,000 workers, on the growth of the diabetes epidemic.

The medical device firm began as a maker of blood gas analyzer devices, used in the critical care and emergency room settings to test patients’ blood, and that segment is still Nova’s largest business.
