Northwestern University Adopts DNASTAR Lasergene Software

MADISON, Wisconsin – March 31, 2014 – DNASTAR today announced that Northwestern University has entered into an agreement supporting an organization-wide site license of DNASTAR Lasergene software. This license provides access to DNASTAR software for all faculty, staff, and students of Northwestern University.

“As long-term Lasergene users, we have had great success using DNASTAR software within individual labs at Northwestern University," said Jeff Weiss, PhD, Research Professor of Medicine and Director of Research Core Planning for Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. "By entering into this agreement, we can now provide DNA, RNA, and protein sequence assembly and analysis software to all Northwestern researchers. This arrangement will help support and advance the research efforts of our scientists and provide a consistent set of tools for the University.”

Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.
