New Seahorse Bioscience XFp Analyzer Makes Measuring Metabolism Affordable For Every Lab

Billerica, MA, June 13, 2014 – Seahorse Bioscience, the world leader in metabolic analyzers and XF stress test kits for measuring cell metabolism, introduces the XFp Extracellular Flux Analyzer ? an affordable extension to the XF product platform. This new, lower cost instrument will enable many more labs access to Seahorse’s unique technology.

Seahorse Extracellular Flux (XF) Analyzers perform real time ‘stress tests’ of the two major energy-producing pathways of the cell ? mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis ? detecting important changes in metabolism as reported in over 1,000 peer reviewed publications. The XFp Analyzer quickly and easily delivers these same standard metabolic assays ? the XF Cell Mito Stress Test, the XF Glycolysis Stress Test, and the XF Metabolic Switch Test.
