New Device to Measure Glucose in Tears May Relieve Diabetics from Blood Pricking, Arizona State University and Mayo Clinic Reveal

Elements4Health -- Scientists are developing a new way for diabetic patients to monitor their blood sugar without having to prick themselves for a blood sample. The new device measures glucose levels from tears, which would be much less invasive, and may encourage patients to more closely monitor their condition. Researchers hope to conduct broad testing of the device soon.
