New Clinical Study Confirms Accuracy of Exergen Corporation Temporal Artery Thermometers Over Rectal

WATERTOWN, Mass., Jan. 29, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A recent study published by Pediatric Emergency Care (1) found that "temporal artery temperature correlated best with core temperature in both febrile and afebrile patients." The study was conducted in the pediatric emergency room of a tertiary care hospital. The study authors concluded: "Temporal artery thermometry has the potential to replace rectal thermometry in busy emergency room settings."
