During MDMA's recent annual meeting on June 14, association members voted to approve Alex Lukianov, Chairman and CEO of NuVasive in San Diego, CA, and Jo Ellen Slurzberg, Vice President, Reimbursement and Health Policy for Almyra Inc., in Boxborough, MA.

"Jo Ellen has been an active MDMA member for many years, and her experience and insight on reimbursement issues have been invaluable. We look forward to having her expertise on our Board," said Mark Leahey, Executive Director of MDMA. "With more than 20 years in the orthopedic industry with both large and small companies, Alex brings a wealth of medical device experience to bear as a member of our Board of Directors."

"I am pleased to be a member of MDMA and to have been chosen to serve on the association's Board," Lukianov said. "MDMA is out in front of the issues that affect innovative, entrepreneurial medical technology companies, and I look forward to contributing my time and energy to their effort."

"It is an honor to be elected by the MDMA Board of Directors and member companies to serve on the MDMA Board," Slurzberg said.
