FARMINGTON, CT, February 2011 – Mott Corporation will display filtration products, flow control products and porous metal technology at the MD&M West tradeshow in Booth #2854. The show takes place in Anaheim, CA on February 8-10, 2011. Featured will be Mott’s introduction of an all-metal sterilizing grade filter media designed for use in the medical industry as well as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, instrumentation and analytical device industries.
Representatives will be speaking with Designers, Engineers and R&D Representatives about a unique all-metal filtration technology currently in development at Mott. The new filtration media will support sterilizing grade filtration applications and meet ASTM F838-05 specifications for bacterial retention. This all-metal patent pending membrane will be available in 316L stainless steel as well as titanium.
Design engineers in the Medical Device industry and many other industries, utilize Mott’s porous metal media primarily because of its precise consistency and durability. Products using porous metal offer exceptional reliability, long life, and accurate performance. Some products currently utilizing porous metal include various implantable devices, filters to prevent plugging of catheters, drug delivery devices, medical instrumentation, sparging devices for cell culture processing, and gas flow restrictor devices for gas delivery in life-critical systems.
In addition to the fact that porous metal offers unique design and performance benefits, porous metal can be autoclaved, sterilized or completely recycled; an important attribute as we look for ways to conserve on the consumption of resources, energy and space used for landfills.
Mott has a specialized team of experts who work specifically with medical device designers, engineers, and manufacturers on projects that pave the way to tomorrow’s technologies. The team consists of personnel in sales, design, engineering and research & development.
