Mitsubishi Gas Chemical And Nisshin Pharma Inc. To Jointly Organize CoQ10 Business

Tokyo, Apr 21, 2006 (JCN) - Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) will launch a joint venture with Nisshin Pharma, a Nisshin Seifun Group company, concerning coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Nisshin Pharma has acquired a 10% stake in Japan Bio, a wholly owned CoQ10 business subsidiary of MGC. Japan Bio has been constructing a production facility with an annual output capacity of 40 tons at its Niigata Plant since last year.
