Millennium Laboratories Founder and CEO James Slattery Named Ernst & Young LLP Entrepreneur of the Year® 2011 San Diego Winner

The Ernst & Young award recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Mr. Slattery was selected by a panel of independent judges and the award was presented at a gala event in San Diego on June 16.

As a former police officer and husband to a palliative care nurse, James Slattery witnessed first-hand the devastating effects of end of life pain and prescription drug abuse and misuse. In late 2007 he founded Millennium Laboratories to help meet those challenges.
