Merlyn Medical Signs Reciprocal USA-Japan Distribution Agreements

TUSTIN, Calif., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Merlyn Medical has announced the signing of an agreement appointing Suzuken Co., Ltd., Nagoya, sole Japanese distributor for Merlyn's line of airway management products. In reciprocal agreements, Merlyn will be worldwide distributor for several products manufactured by Kenzmedico, Suzuken's medical device division, and Elltec, Japan's leading manufacturer of infusion/blood warmers.

Suzuken will distribute Merlyn's patented, proprietary EndoFlex(R) endotracheal tubes which have a flexible distal tip that can be adjusted when needed; EndoMask(R) laryngeal masks; and EndoTube(R), a full line of standard tracheal tubes.

The Merlyn airway products will be launched at the Japanese Society of Anesthesiologists Conference in Sapporo on May 31, 2007, according to Jay Kotin, Merlyn Medical president.

In a related agreement, Kotin has announced that his company will also distribute a group of blood and fluid warmers manufactured by Elltec, Co., Ltd., also headquartered in Nagoya. The agreement includes worldwide distributorship of the revolutionary new FlexWarmer(R) which requires neither battery nor electric power.
