GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) earnings per share assuming dilution (EPS) were $0.71 for the second quarter of 2017. Non-GAAP EPS of $1.01 for the second quarter of 2017 excludes acquisition- and divestiture-related costs, restructuring costs and certain other items.
