ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 8 — After evaluating three other vendors, Memorial Health System (Abilene, Kan.) ordered CARESTREAM Vue PACS and its vendor-independent Vue Motion viewer that supports image access from Web-enabled devices, such as iPads. The hospital also purchased Carestream’s Vue Cloud Archive for disaster recovery. Memorial Health System is a critical access hospital in central Kansas, located just south of I-70.
“We selected Carestream’s Vue PACS because it combines ease of use with exceptional functionality and affordable cost. Carestream’s zero footprint Vue Motion viewer was also a huge advantage because our physicians want easy access to images and reports and they do not want to download software and keep up with software upgrades,” said Jim Barten, Memorial’s Radiology Manager. “We believe the image viewer will enhance patient care while building increased physician satisfaction.”
Vue Cloud Archive offers affordable vendor-neutral storage along with data protection and disaster recovery of clinical data.
Carestream’s Web-enabled Vue PACS delivers integrated advanced visualization, 3D post processing, lesion management, dictation, critical results notification and a mammography module that eliminates the need for dedicated workstations. Carestream’s Vue Motion zero-footprint, Web-based viewer provides easy access to imaging data and patient information by clinicians anytime, anywhere.
