MedReps.com Survey Names Medtronic, Inc. Best Place To Work In Medical Sales In 2015

Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) January 13, 2015-A recent survey by MedReps.com (http://www.medreps.com/), a job board for medical sales representatives, reveals Medtronic to be the overall best place to work in medical sales. Stryker and Johnson & Johnson also top this year’s list. The survey, now in its fourth year, weighs responses from 1,400 members of the MedReps.com community. The results provide additional insight into the aspects of employers that sales representatives value most, including size, type of sales, competitive compensation, and commitment to research and development.

“Although everyone can’t land Medtronic, Stryker, or Johnson & Johnson jobs, there are plenty of other medical companies with solid product lines that offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits,” said Robyn Melhuish, Communications Manager at MedReps.com. “Medical sales jobs can be found at companies of all types and sizes, and the best medical sales reps have an abundance of opportunities available to them.”

Notable findings from the survey include:

• Medtronic was ranked as the overall best place to work in medical sales, with Stryker and Johnson & Johnson ranked as second and third, respectively.

• Although those that were ranked highest are all large companies, more than half of respondents said they’d ideally like to work for a medium-sized company (44 percent) or small company (11 percent).

• More than half of respondents (55 percent) prefer to work for a company whose primary products are medical devices.

• Medical sales professionals want to know that the products they’ll be selling are quality products that the market actually needs. A strong product line was the most important quality in a potential employer for more than half respondents. •When evaluating a prospective employer, respondents also valued forward-thinking companies invested in research and development.

• A majority of survey respondents (71 percent) ranked competitive compensation within the top two most important benefits employers offer. Work-life balance also ranked in the top two for more than half (58 percent) of respondents.

“It’s impossible for sales professionals to be certain that a company’s culture won’t change with the next merger,” Melhuish said. “All they can do is evaluate the company for what it has to offer in that moment and research what other employees have to say about working there.”

The survey collected data from 1,400 professionals currently or recently working in medical sales. For more information from this survey, click here: http://www.medreps.com/medical-sales-careers/best-places-to-work/.
