Medical Molder SMC's $14 Million Expansion to Create 100 New Jobs
Medical device contract manufacturer SMC Ltd. plans to expand in Massachusetts by consolidating three smaller plants into 210,000 square feet of space in Devens over the next two years, according to Corporate Vice President Brian Payson. “We looked quite a bit in our area. Our first preference was to stay in the community,” Payson said in a telephone interview.
The search led them to Devens, which had a 325,000-square-foot former Gillette building available.
