Medical Device Companies on Defense Over Costs

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. medical device companies are defensively trying to prove that their pricey technologies are worth it as U.S. health care costs rise and more people find themselves without health insurance. Executives attending a meeting of Advamed -- the medical device industry's trade group on Tuesday -- accused the U.S. Medicare program of not keeping up with innovations in medical devices by skimping on reimbursements.
