Measles Vaccine in a Painless Patch, Georgia Tech and Emory University Study
A new microneedle patch could offer an easier way to deliver a vaccine for measles, a disease that killed nearly 140,000 children in 2010. Researchers who developed the technique to dry and stabilize the measles vaccine—which depends on a live attenuated virus—say it is effective for at least 30 days after being placed onto the microneedles.
