Male Contraceptive Trial Launched
Men in the UK are being recruited to try out a new form of male contraception in a major study. The hormonal treatment uses a combination of an implant under the skin and regular injections to lower sperm production temporarily.
The European trial, involving centres in London and Manchester, is one of several hoping to develop a 'male Pill'.
