Lisa M. Suennen Joins OmniGuide Board of Directors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- OmniGuide, Inc., the developer of the first and only flexible CO2 laser scalpel enabling new procedures in minimally invasive surgery, today announced that Lisa M. Suennen has been elected to the company's board of directors. Suennen, co-founder and managing member of Psilos Group, brings nearly 20 years of experience investing in and managing medical device and healthcare services companies. Psilos Group is the lead investor in OmniGuide's new round of funding, announced today.

Suennen, co-founded in 1998 the Psilos Group, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm. She serves on the board of several of Psilos' portfolio companies including InSound Medical, Inc., AngioScore, Inc., IntelliDOT Corp., Navitas Cancer Rehabilitation Centers of America, Inc., VeraLight, Inc. and as a board observer for Estech. Previously she held several positions at Merit Behavioral Care (formerly American Biodyne, Inc.) including Senior Vice President/General Manager of the Public Sector Division, Senior Vice President of Pacific Region Operations and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Suennen played an integral role in the growth of Merit leading to its sale for $800 million in 1998.

Earlier in her career, Suennen spent several years at Regis McKenna, Inc., an international high technology marketing and public relations firm, organizing public relations strategy for healthcare and software companies. Suennen earned an M.A. in political science, a B.A. in political science and a B.A. in mass communications from the University of California, Berkeley.
