LHA Launches Business Development Services Unit, Opens Office in Cambridge, Mass.

NEW YORK & CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LHA, a leading provider of best practices global investor and media relations services, announces the firm’s expansion to the greater Boston area with the launch of its Business Development Services unit via a strategic alliance with FEP Capital Advisors, a business development advisory based in Cambridge, Mass. FEP Capital Advisors was founded by Rick Pierce, a seasoned business development and investor relations executive, who will now lead this new unit as well as expand LHA’s presence in greater Boston.

Mr. Pierce joins LHA as a Senior Vice President and will serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients, develop new business opportunities and establish and grow LHA’s Business Development Services unit. The mandate for this unit is to pursue strategic business development initiatives by leveraging LHA’s acumen and relationships with senior executives across a number of industry verticals.

To expand LHA’s investor and media relations service offering in greater Boston, Mr. Pierce initially will focus on opportunities with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical technology, healthy living and other technology companies.

Prior to founding FEP Capital in 2007, Mr. Pierce served as a senior finance, business development and investor relations officer for three publicly traded companies, including at Javelin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which merged with Hospira, Inc. Prior to that he spent 12 years in the investment banking divisions of Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, advising corporate and high-net-worth clients, venture capital firms and hedge funds. During his banking career Mr. Pierce specialized in the technology, healthcare and biotechnology sectors. He has been involved in a number of highly successful IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions and strategic business development transactions.
