Scott won a college national championship at the University of Texas in 2006. After a successful college football career with the Texas Longhorns, Scott was drafted in the fifth round of the 2006 NFL Draft.  Jonathan Scott has played for the Buffalo Bills, Pittsburgh Steelers, Detroit Lions and last played for the Atlanta Falcons.

Jonathan Scott is a nine year veteran with the NFL. In 2009, he was diagnosed with plaque psoriasis when he was playing with the   Buffalo Bills.  After the devastating loss of his father in the same year, he began to develop a plaque on his scalp. After several tests, it was confirmed that he was suffering from plaque psoriasis.

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that affects millions of Americans and for which there is no known cure1.

"Living with psoriasis commonly leaves people frustrated as they seek out credible information, search for answers, or simply try to find someone who can relate to what they are going through personally," stated Barbara Osborne, President & CEO, of the LEO Pharma U.S. Region.

According to Barbara Osborne, "Jonathan has persevered and has become an advocate to help people understand his challenge with psoriasis.  He has a powerful story to tell that will help and inspire people going through similar experiences.  We are excited about the role which Jonathan Scott will have in helping LEO Pharma Inc. reach these people and deliver valuable services and solutions that may help improve the management of their psoriasis."

"I didn't know what psoriasis was until I got it," stated Jonathan Scott.  "Now I want to teach and create awareness about the chronic skin disease. My family, former teammates and friends are compassionate about my skin issues and don't look at my skin before they look at me.  I'd like to be able to create the same mindset in unaware people," Jonathan continued.
