In the first two cases that reached trial over the bladder or pelvic mesh sling, Boston Scientific had won without any damages awarded to the plaintiffs. Boston Scientific still faces approximately 12,000 lawsuits in which women claim their vaginal mesh implants, including the slings, erode within the body.
