LABS Inc.Adds Sara Dirscherl, PhD, as Manager of Microbiology

CENTENNIAL, Colo., Nov. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LABS, Inc., a global, full-service testing laboratory with more than 30 years of expertise in regulated testing for human organs, cells, tissues and implantable biologic products and devices, today announced the hire of Sara Dirscherl, PhD, as Manager of Microbiology.

In her new role, Dr. Dirscherl will be responsible for managing LABS' microbiology and sterility departments and will be instrumental in expanding the Company's core services as it continues to grow its menu of customized solutions to service clients in any stage of the bio-based medical product life cycle: donor eligibility, research and development, processing and validation and final lot release.

Dr. Dirscherl joined LABS from Lancaster Laboratories, where as the Site Director and Principal Scientist she managed day-to-day operations and a staff of 65. Dr. Dirscherl holds a PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology and an MS in biological sciences from the University of Alaska, and a BS in biology from Metropolitan State College.
