Kinetic Concepts, Inc.'s Portable Therapy System Approved in Japan
Japanese authorities have approved Kinetic Concepts Inc.’s portable wound therapy system for use in that country. The ActiV.A.C. Therapy System is a lightweight, portable version of the company’s negative pressure wound healing technology. V.A.C. stands for vacuum assisted closure. KCI introduced the first negative pressure technology product, the V.A.C. ATS Therapy System, to Japan in April 2010.
