Kimberly-Clark Corporation Slapped With $500 Million Lawsuit Over Ebola Gowns

Irving-based Kimberly-Clark Corp. is being sued for more than $500 million by a law firm that alleges the company falsely claimed its surgical gowns protected against Ebola.

The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in California by the law firm of Eagan Avenatti.

The suit alleges the company has sold millions of the "MICROCOOL Breathable High Performance Surgical Gowns" since 2011, putting health care workers and patients at "considerable risk," Reuters reported.
