Johnson & Johnson Unit DePuy Synthes Whacks 400 Jobs As Part Of Reorganization

Faced with an array of challenges, the DePuy Synthes medical device unit of Johnson & Johnson is undergoing a reorganization that will eliminate approximately 400 jobs, or less than 2% of the global DePuy workforce of 23,000 employees. A J&J spokeswoman confirmed the changes.

In a video message to employees yesterday, Michael Orsinger, the J&J worldwide chair of the global orthopaedics group, says the reorganization is being made as “the external health care environment undergoes seismic shifts.”
