Jeff Raikes, CEO, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Announced as Keynote Speaker for Life Science Innovation Northwest 2012 Conference

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jeff Raikes, Chief Executive Officer, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was announced as keynote speaker for the 2012 Life Science Innovation Northwest (LSINW) conference, scheduled for July 11-12 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. “We’re honored to have Jeff Raikes as the keynote speaker for this year’s LSINW conference,” said Chris E. Rivera, President, Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association (WBBA). “We’ve moved LSINW from March to July this year to coincide with the Next 50, the six month celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Seattle World’s Fair. July is Global Health month at the Seattle Center and having Jeff Raikes and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation involved with our conference will further put the emphasis on the importance of global health in our life science community in Washington and around the world.”
