Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. Receives Medical Research Council Contract

PASADENA, Calif., July 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced today that it received a contract from the Medical Research Council to serve as Client Technical Advisor for its new Laboratory of Molecular Biology.

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

The 30,000-square-meter, state-of-the-art facility will be constructed on a site adjacent to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, U.K.

As Client Technical Advisor, Jacobs will provide a wide range of advisory and monitoring services related to the design and construction of the highly serviced building. Core services include architecture, building engineering services, and structural and civil engineering. Specialist services include laboratory design and commissioning, facade engineering, fire protection engineering, landscape design, and IT systems.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Allyn Taylor stated, "This contract award further strengthens our relationship with the Medical Research Council and we look forward to providing them with a diverse range of quality services."
