iWorx Introduces LabScribe2 Software Module for Performing Automated Blood Pressure Measurements and Analyses

5/10/2011 12:18:59 PM

Dover, NH, May 10, 2011 - iWorx, a developer of advanced physiology research tools, has introduced the LabScribe2 Blood Pressure Module that provides built-in software routines to perform a number of arterial and ventricular pressure calculations as well as automated batch analyses. The software module is the cornerstone of iWorx suite of blood pressure measurement and analysis solutions, including Fluid-Filled Catheter Systems, Solid-State Pressure-Tipped Catheter Systems, and Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Systems.

The LabScribe2 Blood Pressure Module analyzes data from ventricular and arterial signals in real-time. The software automatically calculates common indices of function from the blood pressure signal. Arterial and ventricular pressure calculations that can be performed include heart rate (HR), minimum (Pmin) and maximum (Pmax) pressure, mean pressure (Pmean), systolic and diastolic pressure, minimum (dP/dtmin) and maximum (dP/dtmax) dP/dt, and more. (view the full list of calculations)

In addition, the software includes automated routines to enable batch analysis of data within a file. Researchers simply choose from a list of 30 calculations, select the report frequency, and then click to write data directly to the online journal or to a spreadsheet file. This feature is ideal for applications where averages need to be calculated periodically over the course of a longer experiment. The software also facilitates analyses involving implantable telemetry devices where periodic reporting of blood pressure data is required.

iWorx Blood Pressure Measurement and Analysis Solutions are configured from a wide range of high performance components, including transducers, catheters, non-invasive devices, amplifiers, recorders, and cables. iWorx also offers additional LabScribe2 software modules for ECG analysis, metabolic calculations, pressure-volume loops, and cardiac analyses.
