It's Official, U.S. Rep. James Greenwood Heads BIO

U.S. Rep. James Greenwood, a Pennsylvania Republican who earned a reputation as a tough consumer advocate after leading House probes into Enron, ImClone Systems and MCI, announced yesterday that he is leaving office to head the national biotechnology trade group. Greenwood has been a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which regulates biotechnology. Yesterday he resigned as chairman of its oversight and investigations subcommittee, which is poised to hold hearings regarding anti-depressants made by a number of companies that are members of his new employer, the Biotechnology Industry Organization.
