A big argument against the wearable tech that’s out in the market so far is very simply that it’s, well… ugly. Until recently wearables have largely been dominated by clunky, boxy designs that have had a fairly masculine feel to them. Apple AAPL -0.06% last week attempted to introduce a solution on this aesthetic (as well as functional) front with its new Apple Watch. It was a step in the right direction, though one inevitably still met with mixed response. Over in New York meanwhile, wearables were trending at Fashion Week too, with releases spanning Opening Ceremony and Intel INTC -0.23%, Rebecca Minkoff and Case-Mate and Diesel Black Gold with the new Samsung Gear S.
