IPG Photonics Corporation To Hire 100 In Marlborough Within Three Years

Oxford-based IPG Photonics, a developer of optical fiber-based lasers, is expected to add 100 new jobs in Marlborough within three years.

IPG Photonics (Nasdaq: IPGP) will be working on an expansion project in Marlborough, which will include the purchase and renovation of two vacant buildings equaling to about 111,000 square feet. The city of Marlborough is supporting the project with a five-year tax incentive of about $60,000 and the project will receive state incentives worth about $750,000. IPG currently employs 24 people in Marlborough in temporary space.
