IOMED, Inc. Appoints Brian L. Mower Chief Financial Officer

SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Iomed, Inc. today announced the appointment of Mr. Brian L. Mower to Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Mower, 34, joined Iomed's finance and accounting department in 1999 and was appointed Chief Accounting Officer in 2002.

During his tenure, Mr. Mower has been instrumental in the implementation of cost-reduction initiatives through organizational restructuring and contract negotiations. As CFO, he will continue directing all finance and accounting functions, including cash management, budgeting, financial reporting, M&A due diligence, and investor relations.

Prior to joining Iomed, Mr. Mower held various audit and accounting positions with the international accounting firm of KPMG LLC in Salt Lake City. While at KPMG, he serviced a broad base of both large and small and public and private clients, including M&A due diligence and financial reporting support on over 18 M&A transactions.

Mr. Mower has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1998, is bilingual in English and Vietnamese, and actively participates in the local community. He holds a B.S. and Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Utah Association of CPAs. Mr. Mower was one of four Chief Accounting Officers featured in the Journal of Accountancy's February 2006 issue.
