Integrated Pain Management, Inc. First In Bay Area And Northern California To Implant HF10 Therapy For The Superior Treatment Of Low Back And Leg Pain

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Integrated Pain Management, Inc. is pleased to announce the first commercial implantation of the Senza^® HF10 spinal cord stimulator device (Nevro Corporation, Menlo Park, CA) in the Bay Area and Northern California. The Senza^® HF10 therapy is a recently FDA approved spinal cord stimulator that has been shown to have superior results for the treatment of back and leg pain in a large multi-center study in the United States.

Chronic low back and leg pain continue to be one of the most common complaints among pain patients. Moderate to severe chronic pain in the lower back and legs has been shown to have a significant negative impact on the patients' function and quality of life. The treatment for low back and leg pain, thus far, has included exercise and physical therapy, epidural injections, medications or implantable technology. Physical therapy and exercise can be difficult for patients with moderate to severe pain, epidural injections may only provide short-lived improvement of the pain and medications have associated grave side effects and social stigma, including physical dependency and constipation.
