Innovative Modular System for High-Throughput Protein Purification

HANOVER, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 2005-- Vivascience AG Launches Vivapure(TM) 8-to-96 Well Cobalt-Chelate Kit for His-tagged(1) Protein Purification Vivascience, a subsidiary of Sartorius AG, introduces the Vivapure(TM) 8-to-96 well cobalt-chelate kit, a complete system for simultaneous purification of multiple His-tagged proteins by Immobilized Metal Affinity Chromatography (IMAC). The kit includes ready-to-use, membrane-based hardware for all steps of the purification process: lysate filtration, protein purification, eluate collection and storage. All kit components are compatible with multi-channel devices and automated workstations, making the system suitable for high-throughput applications. The Vivapure(TM) 8-to-96 well cobalt-chelate kit offers a unique modular format. Depending on the sample number, up to twelve individual 8-strips are inserted into frames with the footprint of standard 96-well plates. This feature results in proportionate savings when less than 96 samples are simultaneously processed.
