InfoMedics, Inc. To Present At The Center For Business Intelligence's Patient Education And Disease Awareness Summit

1/11/2007 9:50:55 AM

WOBURN, Mass., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- InfoMedics, Inc., the leader in physician-patient communications programs, today announced its high-level involvement in the Center for Business Intelligence's (CBI) Patient Education and Disease Awareness Summit, to be held January 22-23 in West Conshohocken, Penn. The Summit features an array of industry leaders providing expert insight on topics including patient-centric marketing, minimizing risks through effective patient persuasion strategies and using new technologies to develop a targeted approach in designing patient education programs.

Stanley Wulf, MD, vice president and chief medical officer at InfoMedics will present "Patient-Physician Education - Improve the Relationship between Physicians and their Patients" on Tuesday, January 23 at 8:15 a.m. The presentation will examine the impact on the pharmaceutical industry of the increasing time pressures physicians face when communicating with patients about their medications and provide actionable information on how to overcome these challenges. Included will be a number of case studies proving the effectiveness of patient-physician communication and education programs in assisting physicians to ensure the most effective treatments for their patients.

"Gathering patient feedback and communicating it to physicians in real- time is crucial to a successful brand strategy," explains Dr. Wulf. "By providing patients with specifically tailored education to support treatment decisions, a well-crafted patient-physician education program can lead to increased brand loyalty, prescribing and improved health outcomes."

Dr. Stanley Wulf is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. Dr. Wulf joined InfoMedics as vice president and corporate medical director in 1996 to provide clinical direction in product development, implementation and operations. He was appointed chief medical officer in 2004 and heads the medical team responsible for program content development.

Paul LeVine, vice president of analytic services at InfoMedics will serve as co-chair and give his opening remarks on Monday, January 22 at 1:15 p.m., In addition, InfoMedics is the exclusive gold sponsor of this two-day conference hosted by the Center for Business Intelligence and held at the Marriott West in West Conshohocken, Penn. InfoMedics is also pleased to host the luncheon on Tuesday, January 23 at 12:30 p.m.

"More treatments - and accompanying messages, through advertising and media coverage - are available to patients than ever before, leading to increased patient confusion regarding medication options and compliance issues," said Mr. LeVine. "Physician-patient communication and patient education overall have become crucial to ensuring successful outcomes. This Summit provides an excellent opportunity to learn how to design communication programs that benefit patients, physicians and the pharmaceutical industry."

Paul LeVine has worked for nearly 20 years in a variety of settings within healthcare, including the pharmaceutical and managed care sectors, as well as in government.
