Inergetics, Inc. Shareholder Update

PARAMUS, N.J., Aug. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Inergetics, Inc. (OTCBB: NRTI), a leading developer of nutritional supplements for the Clinical Health and Sports Supplement markets, implemented many changes over the past couple of months and management is happy to update shareholders on theses changes. On June 11thMichael James was appointed to the CEO position, Mr. James will also continue his CFO duties for the foreseeable future. Mr. James spent the last two months analyzing the needs of the Company and attracting the talent necessary to support the successful operations of Inergetics. The immediate focus of the management team is to build, diversify and insulate the revenue stream of Inergetics. Management's plan is to activate the assets of the Company, which includes branded products, endorsements, advisors and the employees of Inergetics to further build revenue and awareness.

Inergetics recently announced the addition of our new Chief Marketing Officer, Jim Kras, a supplement industry marketing veteran. The Company is building the administrative department and dedicated marketing teams to implement Inergetics' strategic initiatives. In the short time since the beginning of their employment in late June, Inergetics has launched a blog, www.surgexsportsblitz.com. The team developed and initiated distribution of a weekly e-mail newsletter now being e-mailed to existing Surgex customers. This initial effort will help expand Surgex's Facebook, Twitter and overall brand presence.

The new Surgex Sports Blitz blog is updated in real-time with original content including streaming live NFL related news feeds. The blog additionally provides followers with information on Surgex products, as well as updates related to the training camp progress of the NFL athletes endorsing Surgex®: Eric Weddle, All-Pro Safety for the San Diego Chargers, Janoris Jenkins of the St. Louis Rams, Dwight "Bill" Bentley of the Detroit Lions and Blake Costanzo of the Chicago Bears. The Surgex Sports' Facebook page is also updated daily and Inergetics is currently running "The Surgex 500," the first of many digital contests designed to increase Surgex's social media following.

Inergetics management team continues to utilize the advice and expertise of the Company's Advisory Board which consists of Kenneth Sadowsky, Jeffrey Wattenberg and Dr. David Blecker. The board will provide introductions and guidance related to expanding revenue opportunities for Inergetics. Dr. Blecker, a highly regarded Nephrologist, is in the process of initiating clinical trials in the nephrology field relating to a nutritional formulation of Surgex, which Inergetics is currently developing with Dr. Blecker. Jeffrey Wattenberg plans to expand the awareness of Surgex among the professional leagues and professional athletes. Additionally, Kenneth Sadowsky will help expand distribution relationships once the Company initiates the retail distribution plan of its products.

Moreover, Inergetics is working to expand our product portfolio through research & development and acquisitions of revenue generating products. These new products are expected to require less capital and provide higher gross margins. Management is committed to maximizing the Company's asset allocation and driving towards becoming cash flow positive by allocating more working capital to marketing and less capital to inventory. Management feels strongly that this strategy will diversify and insulate the revenue stream as Inergetics grows their existing brands and creates revenue growth for Inergetics.
