WESTBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - October 08, 2012) - Today IBC kicks off its annual BioProcess International Conference & Exhibition in Providence, RI. The event will bring together over 1500 bioprocess professionals from all around the world to share cutting-edge advances in the bioprocess development and manufacturing field.

"This year we look forward to the increased participation based on the industry's innovations and partnerships that continue to drive development and manufacturing improvements for biologics. Through feedback on all of the valuable case studies and unpublished data being presented along with the planned interactions at the event, the BioProcessing community will certainly make the 2012 event a memorable one," said Elizabeth Gormley, Managing Director, IBC Life Sciences.

The 2012 conference program features industry visionary keynote presentations from the US FDA, Pfizer, Merck, Biogen Idec and Sandoz Biopharmaceuticals. The conference program runs October 8-12 and is divided into six pre-conference symposiums on October 8 and four main conference tracks that run concurrently on October 9-12.

The four main conference tracks are: enhancing manufacturing and development efficiency, product lifecycle management, cell culture and recovery & purification. In addition, there is specialty focused programming on analytical technologies, antibody drug conjugates, viral safety and vaccine development & production.

Attendees of BioProcess International will have also access to presentations at the co-located Formulation & Delivery strategies conferences on October 9-12. In addition, IBC will hold three Bioprocessing Professional Development training courses on October 9-10.
