I-trax, Inc. Appoints Sports Authority Founder, Jack A. Smith, To Its Board Of Directors

CHADDS FORD, Pa., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- I-trax, Inc. , a leader in integrated health and productivity management, today announced that it has appointed Jack A. Smith, founder of The Sports Authority, to its board of directors, effective January 25, 2006. Mr. Smith will also serve on the company's audit committee.

Mr. Smith founded The Sports Authority in 1987 with the opening of its first store in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. As the former chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of The Sports Authority, Mr. Smith took the company through its initial public offering in 1994 on the New York Stock Exchange and continued to lead the company until his departure in 1999. Prior to starting The Sports Authority, Mr. Smith served as the chief operating officer of Herman's Sporting Goods, a W.R. Grace company, where under his leadership, the company experienced growth in the number of stores, sales and profitability. Prior to Herman's, Mr. Smith held a number of executive management positions with other major retailers including Sears & Roebuck, Montgomery Ward and Jefferson Stores, and as president and CEO of Diana Shops, a national chain of women's apparel.

Mr. Smith is active in community affairs and during his tenure, he and The Sports Authority were recognized with numerous industry awards. He served as chairman of the board of directors of The National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA); has served on the board of directors of Darden Restaurants, a publicly traded company, for 10 years and is also a founding member of that board; and is on the board of governors of Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Smith was also invited by former President Bush for a White House briefing launching the President's Drug Advisory Council's "Drugs Don't Work" program, in recognition of The Sports Authority's drug-free workplace initiative.
