Hygieia Appoints John L. Brooks III To Its Board Of Directors
ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hygieia, a digital insulin enhancement company dedicated to making insulin therapy easier for everyone involved, announced today that John L. Brooks III has joined the company's Board of Directors.

In the United States, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is currently evaluating d-Nav in a one year, 1,000-patient demonstration project.
Mr. Brooks currently serves as president and chief executive officer of Arete Worldwide, LLC, a consulting firm that provides services to a global network of partners and academic experts working together to drive disruptive solutions that address the obesity, pre-diabetes, and diabetes pandemics. He also is a managing director at Healthcare Capital, LLC. Previously, Mr. Brooks held multiple leadership positions at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, serving as president and chief executive officer from 2011 to 2015, and chairman and finance committee chair from 2005 to 2011. From 2009 to 2014, Brooks was also the chief executive officer and chairman of Reflectance Medical, Inc., a non-invasive metabolic parameters sensor company that was acquired by Sotera Wireless. Prior to assuming these positions, Mr. Brooks founded Prism Venture Partners, overseeing fundraising, investment and capital deployment and co-founded Insulet Corporation, an innovative insulin pump company.
