HMicro Inc. Announces Gary Wright as Chief Marketing and Sales Officer

LOS ALTOS, CA – HMicro Inc. (“HMicro”) a company focused on designing and developing disposable wireless patches for measuring and monitoring vital signs for health and wellness is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Gary Wright as the company’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer. The appointment of Mr. Wright, with over 30 years of healthcare experience in executive roles in sales and marketing, strengthens HMicro’s position for growing current licensing revenues and overseeing the sales efforts for the company’s REACH™ semiconductor platform.
Mr. Wright’s track record includes establishing and managing the entire marketing and sales divisions for Omnicell, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMCL), a leading healthcare product company supplying automated medical supply cabinets and related products to hospitals. Mr. Wright was hired during the onset of Omnicell’s growth and worked to build revenues from $0 to $50M annually. Omnicell received the Deloitte Touche™ Fast 50 award and was recognized for being one of the fastest-growing companies in California for five consecutive years. Mr. Wright’s contributions played an integral part in enabling Omnicell to IPO in 2002.
Prior to joining HMicro, Mr. Wright was President and CEO of VasoNova, a vascular catheter guidance systems company that was acquired by Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX). Mr. Wright also founded and ran the Women's Health business unit within Caremark Home Healthcare, a division of Baxter International Inc. (NYSE: BAX). His responsibilities included conceptualizing and implementing the division’s business plan, acquiring and integrating a technology company to support the business effort, and hiring and managing the Women’s Health team of over 200 employees.
Mr. Wright’s career started in product sales at firms including Medtronic, Inc. (NYSE: MDT) and American Hospital Supply Corp. (acquired by Baxter International, Inc.). Mr. Wright served as a registered nurse at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago IL, received a Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University, and is an alumnus of the Med Prep Program at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
