Hitachi’s Aloka Medical Snags $162.8 Million DoD Contract for Radiology Equipment

Hitachi‘s Aloka Medical business this week won a maximum $162.8 million fixed-price contract with the US Department of Defense to supply radiology equipment.

The 5-year base contract will position the company to supply radiology systems, accessories and training, with a 5-year option period, according to a DoD release. The company won out against a total of 27 businesses seeking the contract, according to the release.

Hitachi will supply the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies through the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a Feb. 28, 2022 completion date, according to the DoD release.
