Hitachi Medical Systems America Announces New Scenaria SE 64/128-Slice CT Models

CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hitachi Medical Systems America, Inc., a leading provider of diagnostic imaging equipment announced FDA clearance to market two new models within its Scenaria Platform, the new Scenaria SE 64 and SE 128. The Scenaria SE models feature added work-flow-speed and ease of use capabilities to facilitate the higher daily scanning volumes of busy CT facilities. Scenaria SE models are Smart-Dose (XR-29) compliant, including lower dose* patient safety capabilities.

Scenaria SE adds significant platform enhancements that are highlighted by a 40% increases in both standard Recon Speed (to up to 50 images per second) and MPR Recon Speed with added automation of frequent use Operator functions, all combining to enhance workflow. Scenaria SE also includes an upgrade of the standard patient table weight capacity to 550lbs, for bariatric patient accommodation.

* In clinical use, dose saving features may reduce CT patient dose depending on the clinical task, patient size, anatomical location and clinical practices employed. Consultation with a radiologist and physicist are recommended to determine the appropriate dose needed to obtain diagnostic image quality for a particular clinical task.
