It’s a drug that everyone would love to have available, particularly baby boomers – a drug that slows the aging process thereby increasing lifespans, a veritable fountain of youth. Most would consider such a drug the stuff of science fiction. However, a recent article, “Metformin improves healthspan and lifespan in mice”, implies that such a drug could become a reality.
