Hasco Medical, Inc. (HASC) Subsidiary, Ride-Away, Proud Sponsor of the 2012 NY Abilities Expo

5/3/2012 9:24:37 AM

MOBILE, AL--(Marketwire - May 03, 2012) - HASCO Medical, Inc. (OTCBB: HASC), www.HascoMed.com, a managed healthcare provider that serves patients in Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi, wholly owned subsidiary, Ride-Away, is a proud sponsor of the 2012 New York Abilities Expo and will be on hand all weekend to do product demonstrations and offer assistance. The Company will be presenting John Dilgen's family with a van.

John is an 11 year old with a skin disorder called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). One out of 50,000 people are born with this disorder which causes the skin and organs to blister and tear. Because of this disease, people like John have a difficult time walking, sleeping, getting dressed and doing many of the activities others take for granted. Often plagued with blisters on his feet and occasionally his eyes, John cannot walk and has a hard time seeing. This disorder is difficult for his family who spend an hour a day dressing John and covering his little body in bandages. John's mother, Faye, commented on the meaning of having a wheelchair accessible vehicle, "He will have a sense of freedom for the first time. He can go where he needs to without being picked up." John does not let his disease slow him down; John is active in the cub scouts and never complains about his sores.

John's Cub Scout leader reached out on Twitter for help and received the assistance of "Man vs Food" host Adam Richman (@adamrichman) who in turn found Ride-Away (@rideawayvans). The Troop raised $5000 through an event they organized, Walk for Wheels and Ride-Away is paying for the balance.

Hal Compton, Jr, CEO of HASCO Medical, stated, "Like HASCO, Ride-Away's goal is to provide quality products that can improve the lives of others; the Company's commitment to the community is second to none. Thanks to the help of the Cub Scouts and Adam Richman, we were proud to provide the Dilgen family with a wheelchair accessible van."

A blog site is available to find out more about John at http://www.johnhudsondilgen.com.

The 2012 New York Abilities Expo is a perfect forum for presenting the van to the Staten Island family. The three day event brings together the latest innovations in wheelchair accessibility, workshops for people who are disabled and their caregivers, as well as on-site sporting events in the Expo area. Admission to the event is free and everyone in the community is invited. For more information about the Abilities Expos nationwide, go to www.abilitiesexpo.com.

In addition, Ride-Away is proud to be included in the Chrysler booth demonstrating Guidosimplex driving systems installed in a Fiat 500.
