Madison Heights, Michigan- December 6, 2007 –Michigan-based Great Lakes Diagnostics has long been a provider of histology fixatives to the Detroit marketplace and beyond. A family- owned business, Great Lakes Diagnostics has been serving this industry for 20 years. “We provide our customers with the best possible customer service, we negotiate on prices, and always get products to our customers when they need them most, you can’t get that from the bigger distributors” states owner, Howard Toben. Great Lakes Diagnostics manufactures many hard to find products including B-5 Fixative, Bouin’s Fixative and Cytospin in addition to a full line of formalin based products. They also create custom products and labels. At their Madison Heights lab, they are able to do the R&D and the manufacturing in one location.

Recently, Great Lakes Diagnostics merged with partner company Michclone Associates which allows them to manufacture Sickle Cell Solubility Kits and Controls which are regulated under FDA standards.
