Global Biometrics CRO Quanticate Wins 2010 Kinetic Process Innovation Award for Clinical Data Management

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - February 23, 2010) - Quanticate, a global biometrics clinical research organization (CRO), today announced that it has received the 2010 Kinetic Process Innovation Award for excellence in clinical data management and clinical trial services. Quanticate's statistical programming and analysis and superior medical writing was also noted. Now in its 13th year, the Awards program recognizes excellence in information technology and this year is sponsored by High Tech Views, an online publication that spotlights technology innovation.

Quanticate was tasked with delivering a complex electronic European submission for medical writing. The firm was contracted to produce reports and write CSRs for two placebo-controlled trials, along with two further CSRs for the customer's open-label extension studies. All four studies reported from disparate databases, which required detailed analysis plans to avoid redundancies. Tight timelines and a heavy workload made it necessary to create teams of Programmers and Statisticians who worked on specific endpoints across all studies to maximize re-use of code, rather than separate teams working on individual studies. Even with delays in obtaining final and draft data, Quanticate was able to deliver the project on time and on budget, which was the result of careful planning and coordination across teams of Programmers, Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and CSRs.

"We're delighted to be acknowledged with this Kinetic Process Information Award," said Andrew MacGarvey, president of US Operations for Quanticate. "As a full-service CRO, we focus on excellence in supporting our customers' clinical trials throughout the world and greatly appreciate the recognition for these achievements."

"The Kinetic Process Innovation Awards not only recognize outstanding technology and creative implementation of that technology, but also awareness of the cultural aspect of project delivery," said Drew Barrows, deputy editor of High Tech Views. "Quanticate clearly takes an approach that focuses on both the technical challenges at hand, but understands that building a synergistic team is the tipping point in delivering excellence to its customers within time and budget parameters."
