Getinge: UK Competition Authority OFT Approves Merger of Getinge's and Huntleigh Technology plc's Wound-Care Operations in the United Kingdom

STOCKHOLM, Sweden--(BUSINESS WIRE)--As previously announced, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT/the competition authority in the United Kingdom) decided to examine the planned merger of Getinge’s (STO:GETIB) and Huntleigh’s wound-care operations in the United Kingdom, the result of Getinge’s acquisition of Huntleigh. The OFT has now completed its examination of the matter and has announced that it has no objections to a merger of the two companies. Getinge has already received approval from the other countries in which the merger has been subject to examination by the relevant competition authorities.
