Each set will include 50 ug of p84 antibody [5E10], which can be used as a nuclear fraction marker, and 50 ug of GAPDH antibody [GT239], which is an excellent cytoplasmic marker. Both antibodies can also be used as loading controls for whole cell extracts.

"As a scientist with a background in academic research, I know how frustrating it is to use limited grant funding for the purchase of general loading controls," says Dr. Shinn-Tsuen Lin, head of GeneTex's R&D Department. "These products have been carefully selected for their excellent performance and reliability as loading controls, as well as their accuracy as nuclear and cytoplasmic cell fractionation markers. We are proud to share these products with the research community."

"We understand that it is an extremely challenging time for research due to limited funding," says Dr. James Wang, Chief Operating Officer of GeneTex. "To support the advancement of biomedical research, we are offering commonly used tools, such as p84 and GAPDH antibodies, to researchers for free so that they can use their limited resources more efficiently."

GeneTex's p84 antibody [5E10] has been cited in multiple publications and is validated for use in both western blotting and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence. GeneTex's GAPDH antibody [GT239] reacts with a wide range of species and is also validated for use in both western blotting and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence.

For additional information about GeneTex's complimentary internal controls for loading and fractionation, call toll-free 877-GENETEX (436-3839) or visit www.genetex.com. Quantities are limited and available only while supplies last. Promotion ends June 30th, 2012.
